2. Purpose
Intake is a food and nutrition logging app providing estimated calories and macro information for personal reference only.
3. No Medical Advice / No Guaranteed Results
Intake is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Any calculations or targets (e.g. calorie goals, deficit suggestions) are estimates and may be inaccurate. Results may vary. No guarantee of weight loss, weight gain, or any outcome is provided.
4. Health Integrations (Apple Health / Health Connect)
If you enable health integrations, Intake may read (and/or write) selected health data only with your permission. On iOS this uses Apple Health, and on Android this uses Health Connect. You can change permissions at any time in your system settings.
5. Cloud Sync (iCloud / Google Drive, optional)
If enabled, your app data may be stored in iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android) and synced across your devices. This feature is optional.
6. External Databases
Intake may use external food databases. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party data.
7. Intake AI
Intake AI is an optional, subscription-based feature that turns text, photos, and nutrition labels into editable meal suggestions and nutrition estimates.
AI results are estimates and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must review AI suggestions before logging them and remain responsible for what you save to your food diary.
Avoid uploading photos that include unrelated people, documents, or sensitive personal information.
The Intake AI subscription feature requires an active subscription and may depend on the availability of our backend, App Store entitlement verification, and external AI providers.
If you use your own API key (BYOK), requests are sent to your user-selected provider. That provider's terms and privacy rules apply to those requests.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from your use or inability to use the app.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time.
